about

Dark ambient tones flow gracefully in this release by Augusta noise artist Lee Landers. A master of sound and movement, this latest experience produced by him is something that's part sci-fi, part horror film, and part out-of-body experience. It crawls over with tendrils of dream like soundscapes that will transport you to a new dimension of his creation.

Here's a few words about this album from it's creator:

"It was inspired by the sounds of both the original blade runner sound track and the way the newer film used similar tones, but was somehow more bleak. I was also very much depressed about my situation with my children, especially the effect of my divorce and separation from the kids. I intentionally used instruments that I could affect without certainty of the outcome. I could add a certain feeling, but wasn’t able to pick precise melodic structure. The atmosphere is simply there to create a sort of sad tension. An unsettling ambient music. So much ambient music I’ve made to relax, but this was to evoke the feeling of drifting in the dark. You simply had to release and give in to face some inner turmoil on its own terms, rather than psychoanalyze it or rationalize it. That’s part of the reason for the long period at the end of the piece that is very stark with a low rumble and occasional high pitched tones that seem to sink."

"The busses part of the title is kind of a joke, because of buss sends in recording, and the feeling I get when I’m on a long distance trip on a bus in the middle of the night."

"It’s almost an inner horror soundtrack. Facing ones own scary places."

It's best experienced in isolation chambers, late nights reading your favorite thriller novel, or during the day when you need a bit of peace with a ting of hair-raising.
